Strategic Planning

Planning for the Future of SELS

As you may have seen elsewhere, our long-time Executive Director, Scott Childers, has announced his plans for retirement. Replacing Scott will be no small task—his leadership has been instrumental in shaping SELS into the organization it is today.

We live in a time of rapid change and uncertainty, which makes this transition particularly important. As a regional service provider, SELS must ensure it continues to meet the evolving needs of the libraries we support. With that in mind, the Board of Directors will be undertaking a strategic planning process to help guide the search for our next Executive Director.

As part of this effort, we’ve created several feedback tools.   The first is a survey to help us define the role, responsibilities, and qualities most essential in our next leader.

Active SELS Participant Survey

If you consider yourself an active participant within the Southeast Library System we would ask that you fill out the following survey: https://forms.gle/qVKUHvMd5dqzv2Ku5

Inactive SELS Participant Survey

If you do NOT consider yourself an active participant or user of SELS services, please fill out the following survey: https://forms.gle/cvZPLY56XAHz1ksWA

Listening Session Feedback

If you have participated in one of the listening and planning sessions during the August or September CASTL meeting or in session at the NLA Annual Conference, please fill out the following to capture your SOAR brainstorming!

Thank you in advance for helping provide your voice to the future of the Southeast Library System.
