SHELBY COMMUNITY LIBRARY RECEIVES LIBRI GRANT

Shelby-Rising City Students Enjoy New Books!
Students at the Shelby-Rising City Public Schools and community patrons will be reading some great new books thanks to the Libri Foundation’s Books for Children program and Pinnacle Bank of Shelby. The Shelby Community Library received a grant of 63 books, a value of $1052.08. This was a matching fund grant. The $350 portion of the local funds was paid by the Pinnacle Bank Teacher Scholarship, which they award annually. The grant award would not have been possible without the support of the bank and Libri Foundation. As seen in the picture, students really appreciate the new books and are looking forward to reading them. The Libri Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides books for rural public libraries throughout the nation.
