The South Sioux City Public Library is celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday beginning on Monday, February 15 with a Dr. Seuss Read-A-Thon for youth in Preschool to 5th grades.
During the two-weeks, starting February 15, we ask the kids to check out and read 6 Dr. Seuss, Theo LeSieg, P D Eastman or Gisele Award-Winning books. Once they complete this challenge, they will earn a Dr. Seuss gift bag filled with trinkets, stickers, and craft ideas.
South Sioux City Library cardholders can register for this event on our Beanstack service at https://southsiouxcity.beanstack.org/ or by downloading the free Beanstack app.
If your child does not have a library card with the South Sioux City Public Library, you can sign them up for free (even if they live outside of our city limits now). Students will need to provide their school id, along with their guardian’s ID, and a piece of mail showing the current address.
If you and your family would like to participate in receiving news, updates, and information regarding the services the library provides, please contact the library’s Youth Services department at 402-494-7545.
