For August, the Spalding Public Library’s book club has selected a thought provoking and engaging book entitled, “Crow Lake”, a novel written by Mary Lawson. The novel, which is narrated by Kate, a scientist in her late twenties, begins with the death of both of Kate’s parents in a car accident, an accident that leaves Kate and her three siblings orphans. Lawson delves into the depths of family relationships, of familial expectations and love. Other novels written by Mary Lawson include: “Road Ends” and “The Other Side Of The Bridge”. All book club books need to be returned to the library by September 11th. Stop by and check out what people in Spalding are reading this month!
