Book Club Selected Book For August Is “Crow Lake” A Novel By Mary Lawson

For August, the Spalding Public Library’s book club has selected a thought provoking and engaging book entitled, “Crow Lake”, a novel written by Mary Lawson. The novel, which is narrated by Kate, a scientist in her late twenties, begins with the death of both of Kate’s parents in a car accident, an accident that leaves Kate and her three siblings orphans. Lawson delves into the depths of family relationships, of familial expectations and love. Other novels written by Mary Lawson include: “Road Ends” and “The Other Side Of The Bridge”.
