Infants – 5th Grade Kids Summer Reading Program
Registration for the 2024 reading program is for infants to kids going into the 5th grade. Stop by the library to register and pick up a registration bag filled with information about this summer’s activities.
Track reading on the app “Reader’s Zone” which can be downloaded on a cell phone or tablet from May 15 – July 24. You may also track reading with sticker sheets provided by the library. Library dollars are earned by reading 180 minutes. Library dollars can be spent for treats at Runza Restaurant, Springfield Pit Stop, and Springfield Soda Fountain. In addition to library dollars, for every dollar earned the child’s name is entered into a drawing for a first, second, and third Grand Prizes.
Summer activities begin on May 28th. A calendar of events is included in the registration bag.

Teen Summer Reading Program
Kids going into 6th grade and up can register for the Teen Program beginning May 15th by signing up at the library and picking up a registration bag. Complete a Summer Reading “Bucket” list to earn points. After earning forty (40) points, turn in the bucket list sheet to win a $10 gift card. Earn more prizes by completing more sheets. The program ends on July 24 so be sure to turn in your bucket list on time!
Teen Thursdays begin on May 30th and run through August 8th with the exception of July 4. Fun activities each week will be happening at 1:00pm.
