The Sutton Memorial Library Board met at 5:00 P.M. on May 2nd, 2016 in the Library. President Joyce Brown called the meeting to order and referred to the Open Meeting’s Act. Present were: Librarian, Shelly Reed, and Board members, Joyce Brown, Pam Overturf, Gertie Schmer, Carol Hendricksen, and Harriet Maser.
The minutes of the precious meeting were read and approved. The bills for the month of April were presented and approved.
Kathy Johnson gave a donation of $100 to the library in memory of Barb Rolfes Hoaglund for purchase of books.
A thank you is sent to Kathy.
Shelly presented the circulation report for the month of April statistics as follows: A.F.-393 (287 + O.D. 106), A.N.F.-19, Children -99, J.F. – 117, J.N.F.-41, Computers – 138, Periodicals – 19, Audios, 0, DVD’s – 146. Total Circulation = 972, Visitors = 446.
Old Business: None.
New Business: New Library hours are a follows: Monday. Tuesday, & Friday: Noon -6 P.M., Thursday – 2-8 P.M., Saturday is 9-12 Noon. Shelly will work Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: and Carole will work Tuesday & Friday, and Saturday, they will switch.
The furnace has quit.
The Summer Reading Program will be June 13-17.
Budget will need to be completed and will be due in June this year.
We continues working on Strategic Plan/12 Steps.
Out next meeting will be June 2nd @ 5 P.M.
Without further business, President Joyce Brown closed the meeting and work session at 7:30 P.M.
