The library has installed Open DNS programming to filter and block adult related content, phishing sites etc. However, Parents or guardians, not the library or its staff, are responsible for the internet information selected and /or accessed by their children.
Children under age 14 should have a signed parental permission form (available at the circulation desk) from a parent or guardian. Programs and files may not be copied or downloaded to the hard drive. If you think you may want to save files, please bring a flash drive, or you may purchase one at the circulation desk.
An educational AWE computer (not connected to internet) for preschoolers and early elementary children is located in the computer area. Parents are encouraged to sit and help their child while they’re on the computer.
Scanning of computers begins one hour before closing, and the computers will be shut down 1/2 hour before closing.
