Join in on Toddler Time
The first Saturday of the month is for Toddler Time! Starting at 10 AM, this is a lap-sit program for children ages 18 months-4 years old. Children listen to a story, and do a simple activity or craft with their family members.
October 1st is the next scheduled Toddler Time and children are encouraged to wear a costume. We will decorate pumpkins and listen to a fun Halloween tale.
Pictured above, Russel enjoyed our mustache theme in September.

One Year Anniversary Open House
The library celebrated it’s one year anniversary on August 7th, 2022. This marks the one year anniversary from our ribbon cutting last year after our major renovation. Food trucks were on hand and the community was welcome to bring their food inside to eat in the community room. A bouncy slip-n-slide was sponsored and was a huge hit with the kids! Thank you for checking us out!

Back to School Supplies Day
The library was happy to host the Back to School Supplies event at the end of July. Organized by Tri Valley Health Systems and the Arapahoe Chamber of Commerce, this event welcomed anyone with school aged children to pick-up what they needed for back to school supplies. Local Arapahoe businesses supplied a variety of items, such as book bags, pencils, folders, crayons and headsets. The local school children and their families were welcome to drop-in for what they needed while supplies lasted. School begins August 10th. Best wishes to our local school children, teachers and staff for a successful school year!

Summer Reading Kickoff Party!
Arrgh Matey, it’s time to register for our Summer Reading Program-Oceans of Possibilities!
Saturday, May 14th at 10AM is the library’s kick-off event for this summer’s reading program! We offer programs for toddlers, school aged children and teens. Stop by the library on the 14th, or anytime to register your child for this program that promotes literacy. Each week we’ll have a different story, craft and activity. Children are rewarded for their reading efforts whenever they return a simple reading log. The goal is to keep children engaged this summer so they can retain what they’ve been learning during the school year.
Adults can also log their summer reading for prizes!
