Humanities Nebraska Program Being Held @ Library June 21!

Be sure to mark your calendars for the special Humanities Nebraska Program being held at the library Friday, June 21 @ 1:00 pm: “THE ANCIENT WORLD IN AMERICAN POPULAR CULTURE”!

Professor Leonard Greenspoon (Creighton University) will be presenting an illustrated talk exploring the many ways in which movies, the popular press, museum exhibitions (such as the library’s current “Harry Potter’s World exhibition), TV shows, comic books, the Internet–and other forms of popular culture–entertain and educate us about the ancient world, and what all of this tells about antiquity and about our own world of the 21st century!
