𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙨, Tosca Lee 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚. She gave a presentation about her book “The Long March Home” to the Lone Tree Readers book discussion group.

“𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝙤𝙛-𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙪𝙣𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚.” Following her presentation, library staff had the opportunity to speak with her, leaving us inspired and eager to explore more of her literary works.

Before she left, Tosca generously gifted CCPL with two of her signed books: “The Line Between” and “A Single Light,” which we are thrilled to add to our collection.

We’re Hiring! $1,000 Part-Time, Temporary Grant-Funded Summer Internship Available at CCPL!

Who should apply: High School or college students (at least 15 years of age).

Applicant must have never been employed by a library, nor an intern at a library (previously or currently). There are no restrictions associated with students who have served as library volunteers.

Applications being accepted until 5:00pm on Friday, May 3, 2024 or until position is filled.
