Take a look at the programs we run year round!
Thursday Morning Story Times: September - April Thursdays @ 10:30
Story Time has always been one of the Ceresco Library’s favorite programs to offer. Story Time is a great place for you and your child to meet new friends in the community and continue to grow with old friends too. We explore a wide range of topics through story telling, song & dance, crafts, and playtime. All are welcome, but these story times are geared to children 3-6.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Sign up your pre-schooler up for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program! This is a hands off program intended to encourage parents and caregivers to spend important time with their little ones listening, learning, and growing closer through the magic of stories. The library is here to support your pre-schoolers journey; we have stickers, a treasure box, and even books for your at home library that your child can earn as they reach each 100 book milestone.
Tween Book Club
Tween Book Club is a great way to encourage your child to read and have fun doing! We meet once a month @ 5pm to talk about our book of the month (we talk about everything under the sun too), do a craft or activity, and the best part – have snacks. Books are provided by the library, stop by to join and pick one up.
Golden Sower Club
This program was designed to encourage kids to participate in the yearly Golden Sower award. Your child is invited to sign-up, read four books from the category of their choice, and then vote for their favorite! Every child who successfully reads four books and votes will be invited to a special Golden Sower lunch!
Summer Reading Program
Each year we happily host our Summer Reading Program, allowing for 50 kids (in 2 groups of 25) to spend two weeks with us at the library expanding on the national Summer Reading theme through arts & crafts, stories, visits from the 4-H Extension office, and so much more!
