Youth Services

The Ceresco Community Library strives to provide an enriching, welcoming environment to all. We believe in your freedom to read, learn, and explore the world around you. We are proud to offer a wide range of materials to be checked out, used, and enjoyed by our patrons. Our youth collection and services are ever expanding and adapting to best reflect our community.

We offer a wide selection of books for all reading levels and interests. We have an amazing Graphic Novel section as well as a wonderful Non-Fiction section. Soon too, our Junior Classic section will be getting an update. You will often find various craft and coloring stations set up around the library and we invite everyone to take part at the library or take things home to complete. There are also a variety of toys, games, and puzzles to play with while they’re at the library.

Youth Programs

The Ceresco Library is happy to offer a wide range of programs for people across all ages and intersts. We have a full roster of youth programming and encourage everyone to attend any programs that interest them. You can read about a few of the programs we host below or checkout the ‘Youth Programs’ tab for a full look at all of our programs.

Story Time

Our pre-school / homeschool story hour invites families with young children to spend an hour at the library listening to stories, dancing, making crafts, & playing with their peers. Storytime is held every Thursday @ 10:30 am September – April.

Tween Book Club (3rd-5th)

Tween book club meets once a month on the fourth Wednesday of each month @ 5 pm. Books are handed out at each meeting and exchanged at the next month’s meeting. We discuss our book, have snacks, and often do a craft or related activity. Extra copies can be picked up at any time when the library is open. We invite all interested children to join us at our next meeting.

Summer Reading (K-5th)

Each June, the Ceresco Library hosts a Summer Reading camp! Children in grades K-5 are invited to sign-up for a two week session to come to the library from 10 – 11:30 for stories, crafts, & adventures. We giveaway prizes, do hands on activities, and even celebrate with a pizza party!

Registration will open in April. For more details visit the ‘Summer Reading’ tab!
