Last Story hour for 2021
Wednesday June 30th was the final story hour for 2021. We learned all about Ocean animals. We read a fun book called “Commotion in the OCean” and made a shiny fish magnet to take home. The kids each got a take home bag full of stuff. Included in the bag was instructions and material to make a window art craft including water colors, a water cannon, a bottle of bubble and a fun octopus snack! We then went outside and had a LOT of fun soaking Jenny and the helpers, having water slide races and just having fun in the water!

Story Hour Week 4
At week four of story hour we talked about Wild Animals! We learned all kinds of fun facts about wild animals, and then we made a craft with the local 4-H extension office leader, Emily Brodd. Emily helped us make some fun sock puppets! Everyone had a lot of fun designing their puppets! We also got outside and played a little Duck, Duck, Goose!
Story Hour Week 3
Week Three of story hour was all about our pets!!! We read a couple books about pets, made pet treat jars to take home and got a goodie bag of all kinds of pet related items and a snack! Then we got to meet the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit! We learned all kinds of fun and interesting things about Matrix from Bruce Mastin and Logan Kampschnieder.

HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!!
The Library is looking for some volunteers to help carry boxes of books out of the Library into vehicles and moved to the Auditorium for the Craft Fair. I am hoping to get this done the week of November 26-30. If you are interested in helping please let me know!!!!
Christmas FUN at the Library!
Stop in each day to hunt for our gingerbread lady who moves in the Library. After you have found her stop by the front desk and enter your name for a weekly prize. The Grand prize drawing will take place on December 22. The grand prize winner will be drawn from the names collected throughout the month so the more you visit us the better your chances are to win!! The Grand Prize is a “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” Pack that includes the dvd, the book, a stuffed grinch, a stuffed Cindy Loo Who and a Grinch Bag!!!

Welcome to the NEW home of the John Rogers Memorial Library website. This move has been much needed and we are happy to be getting things started.
