FREE COMPUTER CLASSES offered at John Rogers Memorial Library

The Library is pleased to announce the schedule for upcoming computer classes taught by Northeast Community College, which was made possible through our Library Broadband Build Nebraska Communities Grant.

Basic Computers Level 1 – Wednesday February 13,  6pm-9pm

Basic Computers Level 2 – Wednesday, February 20,  6pm-9pm

Basic Computer Level 3 – Wednesday, February 27,  6pm – 9pm

Facebook Basics – Monday, March 4,  6:30pm – 9:30pm

Facebook Beyond the Basics – Monday March 18,  6:30pm – 9:30pm

Facebook for Business – Monday March 25,  6:30pm – 9:30pm

Basic Email – Monday April 8,  6:30pm – 9:30pm

Skype – Monday April 15,  6:30pm – 9:30pm

 

All classes will be held at the Library.  Class size is limited to seven, so call and confirm your spot now at 402-693-2512 or email Jenny at joroli@gpcom.net.  If you have your own laptop that you would like to use, please inform Jenny at the time of registration.

Library Board

January Board Meeting 2012

John Rogers Memorial Library

 

January 25, 2012

 

John Rogers Memorial Library Board met on January 25, 2012 at 6:00 pm. Board members present were Jeri Janecek, Patty Novicki, Cindy Sellhorst, Candy Recker and Librarian Jenny Praest.

Bills were read and approved. Donations to the library included donated books by Andrea Brodd and Candy Recker. A Monetary donation in memory of Joe Rehak was givin by Loretta Pieper.

Library Board agreed to use the available money from the Broadband Grant to increase the internet speed on our library computers.

The JR Gals book club read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Next book club meeting is February 15, 2012 at 6:30 pm.

The next Library Board meeting will be held on February 29, 2012 at 6:30 pm.
