Folksinger performs at Hildreth Public Library
Adam Miller, folksinger, storyteller and autoharp virtuoso, performed on Wednesday, September 16 at the Hildreth Public Library. Singing through history was the theme of the program. The audience enjoyed the program and sang along to several folk songs. A great time for community residents of all ages!
Middle School Students Visit Public Library
The Wilcox-Hildreth 7th & 8th grade middle school students participated in a library scavenger hunt at our library. Students worked in pairs to locate information, books and more. The 5th & 6th grades visited the library last week.
After-School Program has Begun!
School has started and so has the Library After-School Program. We have been busy learning how to make healthy snacks and eating them too! We also made a “marble run” that went across the library and ended in the book drop. The program is for youth in grades K – …
Community Heroes
Fire fighters and EMT’s from the Hildreth Fire Department presented a program on fire safety to area youth. Children were able to look at the fire and ambulance equipment as well as hold a fire hose and knock over a safety cone with the water. Our last summer reading program …
Military Heroes
Today we had a visit from Bill Bunger, a community military hero. He shared interesting information with us about flying a helicopter while in Vietnam. We enjoyed seeing the model of his helicopter, helmet, prisoner story on the helicopter, how water tanks were moved, how large the helicopter was and how many …
