Library Closing and Holiday Policies

The Plainview Public Library will be closed on the following holidays:  New Years’ Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Veteran’s Day, and Christmas Day.  The Library may close early on Christmas Eve.  The Library Director may be paid for a normal workday.  In a case of the holiday falling on a Sunday then the Library will be closed on the following Monday.

Weather Conditions
            When the Plainview Public Library will be closed for winter weather conditions it might be announced on area radio stations and a note might be placed on the front door.  When the school closes due to winter weather conditions, it is then up to the discretion of the Librarian to close the Plainview Public Library.  Please call the Library at 402-582-4507 to make sure the library is open in case of inclement weather.
