Scholarships

The South Sioux City Public Library offers one form of scholarship at the moment with hopes that in the future it can serve the community with a variety of scholarships. The current scholarship is for those needing assistance with acquiring a library card. Residents who live outside of the South Sioux City city limits and are unable to afford the cost of a library card are eligible to apply for the low-income scholarship. Low-income families can apply for a scholarship if they receive Medicaid, WIC, ADC, free or reduced lunch, or SNAP/Food Stamps.

A member of the household will need to fill out an application and bring a pay stub, tax return, or other proof of low-income eligibility.

If you have any questions, please email or call the library for assistance @ 402-494-7545.

Stipulations:

  • Applications will be subject to approval.
  • One scholarship per household.
  • Scholarships are available while funds last.
  • All library cards issued will follow the current Library Circulation Policy.
