Our Summer Reading Program runs from June 1st to July 31st! Our theme this year is Adventure Begins at Your Library!
We are thrilled by your interest in our 2024 Summer Reading Program. This Reading Program is open to all children and adult aiming to foster a love for reading by incorporating it with interactive and entertaining activities.

The Summer Reading Program starts on June 1st and continues until July 31st. Children under 12 will receive weekly trackers for submission, while youth between 12 and 18 will be provided with bookmarks to turn in upon goal completion.
Prizes will be distributed this year through a prize shop, allowing youth to redeem tickets for their selected rewards. Earning tickets is possible by submitting trackers/bookmarks, participating in programs, and completing SRP Bingo cards.
The summer reading program is designed to promote reading and build confidence. Using our prize program, our youth will also learn some basic “money” management by using their tickets to purchase prizes. The SRP a fantastic way for them to make the most of their summer break, diving into the worlds contained within books and earning exciting rewards in the process.
An SRP Celebration Party in August will conclude the summer program. Children who fulfill a minimum of 4 weeks in the reading program and attend at least 1 program will be invited to this event. Children who complete all 8 weeks and attend at least 1 program will be given a trophy celebrating their accomplishment as well as other prizes.
In addition to the standard programs, various special events are scheduled for the summer season. These include a magic show on June 13th, Space Day on June 27th, Live Reptiles on July 11th, and a unique performance by drummer and storyteller Kofi Dennis on August 8th.

Mondays @ 2:00 PM: Story Time and @ 4:30 PM: Let’s Craft
Tuesdays @ 10:00 AM: Toddler Time (For 2 and under)
Tuesdays @ 5:30 PM in June and 2:00 in July: Teen Time (11-18)
Wednesdays @ 4:30 is Tween Time
Fridays @ 10:00 AM is Story Time and @ 3:45 PM is Anime Club (8+)
