On Saturday, September 17th from 1:00pm – 3:00pm (approximately), the library will host a Saturday Matinee movie showing of PG rated “Remember the Titans”. This event is free and open to the public and will be held in the downstairs meeting room of the library. Popcorn will be provided to all guests. We hope to make this a reoccurring event to be held on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Keep checking back for more information!
Are you an energetic, organized, and dynamic person who loves working with people of all ages? The Tekamah Public Library is looking for you! We have an opening for a part-time library assistant (approximately 15-20 hours per week). The right person must be able to work a flexible schedule. This term is used to describe books that have either been challenged or removed from public libraries, school libraries, or school curriculum. We were saddened to hear of the passing of famous children’s author and illustrator, Eric Carle. He was 91 years old. His most famous book is the beloved “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” which was published in 1967! He was renowned for his bright, cheerful illustrations. The start of the 2021 Summer Reading Program is rapidly approaching. The fun starts Monday, June 7th at 5:00 p.m. with an open house at Tekamah Public Library.
