The 1st annual JRML Original Peeps Competition!

John Rogers Memorial Library presents this fun, springtime activity using the iconic Easter Candies: PEEPS! This 1st annual contest welcomes community members of all ages. Make an original shoebox-sized diorama with the iconic Easter candies—PEEPS!—as the main characters. Community members of all ages, businesses, school classrooms, groups & organizations are all encouraged to enter. Take cues from current events, pop culture, or clever “peeps” puns—just get creative!

How to Enter the Contest:

To participate, make a diorama of any size featuring marshmallow Peeps. The theme is wide open, — anything from current affairs to historical events, daily life, celebrities, religion, art or sports, movies or books … but the judges prefer family-friendly entries.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Thurs. March 21st at 5:00pm

Diorama Drop-off

March 19th-21st, at Second Street Market in Dodge NE

Diorama Pick-Up

April 1 – April 4th. All entries not picked up by 6pm on Thursday April 4th will be disposed of.

Diorama Dimensions/Size Limit:

While there are no specific criteria for minimum or maximum diorama dimensions, we appreciate those dioramas kept to the size of a shoe box or boot box to ensure that we will be able to accommodate the maximum number of entries. *We highly recommend making your box “open-top” to help facilitate more light and better viewing!
