Do teens need to be worried about identity theft? How does it happen, and how can I get my identity back?
There is a difference between someone stealing your debit card versus someone stealing your identity.
Identity theft is the act of using someone else’s personal and financial information to conduct business. This can leave you with debt, expenses, and possibly issues with your social security and drivers license. Even if you think you are careful and do everything right, identity theft can still happen to you. Making purchases online, opening email attachments from strangers, sharing personal information online, or using a weak password? These are some of the ways scammers can access your personal information.
