Cookie bakers! Christmas cookies are needed for the annual Friends of the Library Cookie Walk. Cookie donations can be dropped off at the Library, Friday 12-5pm or Saturday 8-9am. Thank you!

We invite all bakers to submit your homemade sweet and savory pies for the contest happening on Saturday, September 13 at 6:30p.m. Important details include:

Official event and People’s Choice award voting will commence at 6:30 p.m.

Please ensure that your pies do not require refrigeration.

Drop off your pies on Saturday, September 13, between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (judging begins at 6p.m.)

Everyone is invited to hear historian Charlotte Endorf’s presentation on how North Platte, Nebraska rallied together to support the World War II troops passing through Nebraska. Thank you to Humanities Nebraska and the Friends of the Library for their support of this exceptional program.

Inspired be your favorite book, character, or author, create your entry using food to enter the Edible Book Contest! Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the tasty entries and cast a vote for your favorite!

Join us with your chili or cinnamon rolls for the contest or just come to eat and vote for your favorites. Can wait to see you on Friday!
