The Holdrege Area Public Library in conjunction with the Holdrege Chamber of Commerce is holding a Business After Hours event, from 5 to 7 on Thursday, April 29th, 2021.
We are hosting an art exhibit of works created by students at Holdrege High School, as well as showcasing our business collection to those interested in increasing their abilities and opportunities in the business world.
The library director explained, “The public library is a place to increase your abilities – it always has been. Benjamin Franklin started the first public library in America as a way so that he and all his tradesmen friends could get the books they needed for self-improvement. In our first After Hours event, we’re showcasing the skills of our high-schoolers and our targeted focus on meeting the needs of our business-oriented patrons.”
The Business After Hours event will serve drinks and small snacks. All are welcome, and the library will remain open after the event for one hour, to close at 8 o’clock, normal closing time on Thursdays.
