The McCook City Library hosted poetry contests to celebrate National Poetry Month in April. We displayed poetry books on the adult and children side, along with bookmarks with poems. Contestants in grades Pre-K-3 were asked to color a picture that went with a poem, grades 4-5 were to make a poem out of the letters, L-I-B-R-A-R-Y, and 6th grade and up made a poem out of, I L-O-V-E P-O-E-T-R-Y.
