How to Sign up for a Library Card
Library Cards are free for all South Sioux City residents within city limits. We offer library cards for ages 5+. Persons under the age of 16 must have a parent or guardian sign up with them. We request that you provide proof of identity and mail addressed to you, no older than 30 days, with a South Sioux City address.
Those customers who reside outside of the city limits are eligible to apply for a library card, which has a yearly household fee of $75. That is just the cost of 3 hardcover best sellers! Everyone in the house can check out books, movies, magazines, and much more.
We offer library card scholarships, South Sioux City teacher cards, and South Sioux City School District youth cards, also!
Books – loan period: 3 weeks
Audio Books – loan period: 2 weeks
Magazines – (non-current issues only) loan period: 2 weeks
DVDs – loan period: 1 week
Music CDs – loan period: 2 weeks
Interlibrary Loan Materials – loan period: dependent to lending library terms
Libby – Free eBooks and audiobooks with a library card in good standing.
Hoopla – Free eBooks, audiobooks and streaming with a library card in good standing.
