We are already half-way through October! Which means it is time to celebrate with costumes, pumpkins, and sweet treats. This year Kilgore Library will be celebrating Halloween three times. First up is during our regular story time on Tuesday, October 19 starting at 10:30. Mr. and Mrs. B will share stories for the season along with songs and other antics. There will be pumpkins to decorate, games and a trick-or-treat parade around the library. As always, this event is planned for preschoolers but all are welcome. We LOVE it when day cares or preschool classes can join us but to help us plan please call by the Friday before you come and let us know how many children you will have with you.
Kilgore Memorial Library will be a stop on the Downtown Trick or Treat map also this year. Children of all ages are welcome to stop by Wednesday, October 27 from 3 to 5 pm, for a treat provided by the Friends of the Library. Mrs. B. has partnered with the characters from Yorkshire Playhouse to provide stories during Haunt at the Holthus on Sunday, October 24 from 3 to 6 pm. The Friends of the Library will be there to welcome you and yes, provide treats. So much fun is planned that we hope you still have time to read a good book or two before we turn the calendar page to the next best month at the library! (Gobble, gobble.)
