Have you heard all the buzzing? Have you heard the jingling of coins ? SUMMER READING is almost here! Sign up begins May 27th at 10:00 am! Miss Dusk has been to all the schools and told them all the news. The great programs! The crafts! The science! The music! The lock-in! The reading! and…. yes…. the Penny Wars! Miss Dusk, Miss Wendy and Miss Gayle each have a jar set up by the circulation desk. Whoever collects the MOST money by our summer reading carnival (August 1st) has to do some crazy thing. Miss Wendy will be kissing a goat .. or goats… as voted upon by the teens at the high school! Miss Dusk will eat crickets! and Miss Gayle will dye her hair rainbow colors in permanent dye! The race is on!!!!! We’re excited and can’t wait to see you all next week.
Last year we read over 31,000 books in 8 weeks. Can we beat that? We had 1,374 people sign up for summer reading. Can we top that? YES WE CAN!!! See you next week!!!
