The Alliance Public Library is here to help promote digital literacy in our community. Below, you will find a variety of resources to use at home to enhance your digital skills. These resources have been curated in conjunction with our Digital Literacy Computer Classes. Visit our Computer Class page for more information on available classes.
30 minute one-on-one training sessions with a librarian are also available upon request by calling 308-762-1387. Sessions should be scheduled to ensure staff availability. While we will gladly teach you about technology and it’s uses, please note that we cannot conduct business for you online or alter your personal computer.

Northstar: Northstar Digital Literacy defines basic skills needed to perform tasks on computers and online. Online, self-guided modules assess the ability of individuals to perform tasks based on these skills.
Basic Computer Skills Module (Northstar): Offers instruction on basic computer skills and focuses on getting started, controlling and navigating a computer.
Email Skills Module (Northstar): offers instruction on using email and includes the basic concepts of email, sending, receiving, managing emails, and email etiquette.
Basic Digital Skills Assessment (Northstar): Take this assessment to find out where your digital literacy skills excel and where you should focus on improving. Essential skills include basic skills, email, using Windows systems, and using Mac systems.
