About 25 people came to hear Doris Markland speak at the library this afternoon. She was very pleased with the crowd, and the audience thoroughly enjoyed her readings. Doris turned 90 shortly after her book, Playing Life by Ear, was published. Her prose and verse covered many aspects of life in both humorous and thought provoking ways. She was very entertaining!
