This month we visited the second grade classes at St. Bon and Elgin Public. We read the story Penguins to the Rescue by Tony Mitton. While a group of young penguins were enjoying many winter activities, they also came to the rescue of a baby seal that was separated from her mother. We also shared some facts about penguins before making one.

On Monday, January 15, Elgin Public Library will have Lego League for grades Kindergarten through 5th. Since we weren’t able to have Lego League for the younger group, they are invited to come on Monday. It will be from 4:00 to 5:00. Stay warm and see you on Monday!

Elgin Public Library is having a Children’s Book Sale. We are selling books that we have weeded from the library. Stop by and take a look. These are just a few of the books and puzzles that we are selling. Free will donation.

Lego League will start again on Monday, January 8, for Kindergarten through second grade. It will go from 4:00 to 4:45.

On the following Monday, January 15, there will be Lego League for third through fifth grades. It will be held from 4:00 to 5:00.
