Today we made a skeleton craft and talked about how bones and muscles help us move. Then, of course, we had to hula….A special Thank You to Marjorie Petersen who so graciously did hula while being sprayed with water….and Thanks to Mrs Chilewski for the craft idea.
No luck last week with our cotton swab skeleton craft and hula hoop activity. We are going to try again tomorrow at 11:00 AM. Join us for some Summer Fun!
Making Oreo Eyes
13 people showed up for the “Eye believe” program at the Loup City Library. Thanks to Tamara Bonnes-Heil of Precision Vision for presenting and Marjorie Petersen for helping keep us on task.
“Eye Believe” in having fun at the library! There is a strong possibility there will be cookies, crafts, and possibly a librarian in an eyeball costume at the library tomorrow at 11:00 AM.
We are going to make “gooey eyeballs” and have a distinguished “eye Dr” come talk to the kids on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
Also, this weeks “anytime” craft which will be out on the tables for the kids to participate in whenever they would like: We have Seed Starter pots (i.e. flower pots) which they can decorate and take home.
After learning how the heart works, kids did a “blood bash relay” (following the path blood takes through the heart–the blood is fake ?).
How does the Heart work? Come do our “blood bash and splash relay” 10:30 Thursday morning on the library lawn. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty!
