About Us

Our library is located in Wilber, Nebraska, in the southeast corner of the state; about 45 miles southwest of Lincoln. Wilber (population 1,760) is the Czech Capital of the United States and the county seat of Saline County.

Whether you are a resident checking out a book by your favorite author or a visitor wanting to check your email, we are here to help you. From board books for toddlers to biographies for adults, our collections cover a wide range of reading material for all ages and interests. Genealogists may want to spend a day scanning newspapers on microfilm or copying information from our Nebraska Reference section.

Public access computers and Wi-Fi connection are available to anyone; a library card is not required.

The Czech Heritage Room is always open to visitors. You don’t have to be Czech to appreciate the books and displays in this mini-museum.
