It’s Here! It’s Here!!!

Yay!  Summer is finally here (temperature-wise anyway!) and that brings out the long to-do lists, right?  Gardens to be planted, weeded, and watered; seed to sow, house repairs…why not take a break and relax in the cool library with a good book or two?  We have many new releases in all genres sure to pique your interest.  In the mood for a good movie?  We have over 250 movies from which to choose and they, too, can be watched right here if you wish.   Our “Spring Fling With a Book” is drawing to a close but it’s not too late to come in for the details and your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to Applebee’s in Fremont.  Only one person will win; it may as well be YOU!  And soon, verrrry soon, our Summer Reading Program will start!  As part of our “On Your Mark, Get Set, READ!” theme, and to celebrate the Summer Olympics in Rio, we are doing our own Summer Olympics – our readers will ‘travel’ to ancient Greece and will be participants in the games; it is going to be a blast!  The reading program is open to all children ages 5 – 12 and will be conducted every Tuesday in July from 1 – 3 p.m.  We have a great program planned this year and are really looking forward to it!    So Many Things to do in the heat of summer right here at your Snyder Library!
