We had a great Story Time yesterday. The day being almost summer and almost the Solstice we decided to visit very hot, very dry Africa! In her book, Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain, Verna Aardema used great poetry and Beatriz Vidal’s wonderful illustrations to describe an ongoing drought, and her solution to ending the dry spell was charming! Ava and Brooklyn made ‘shining suns’ to hang and Marlene provided a great snack. Don’t forget, Story Time is on at your Snyder library the third Tuesday of every month at 4:45. Our only exception to that is during the month of July when we’re totally focused on our Summer Reading Program! And speaking of which, don’t forget to sign up early! We have a great program scheduled this year with more than a few surprises. Registration packages can be picked up at the library during normal opening hours. Haven’t been in for awhile? Come and see what’s new! It’s all here, waiting for you at your Snyder Library!
