(For Preschool Playtime, children must be accompanied by a caregiver aged 18 or older)

April 7th: Lego/Game Day at 10:30am & 1:30pm ***

April 8th: Book Signing/Q&A with Local Nebraska Author Alena Mentink at 10:30am-12pm

April 17th: Library Board Meeting at 7pm

April 18th: Book Club at 2:30pm

April 19th: Swedish Dance Workshop with Merry Hanson at 2:30pm (young & old welcome!)***

April 19th & 20th: Preschool Story time at 10:30am

April 25th: Genealogy Club at 7pm

Assistant Librarian

Part-time position (20 hours per week)

Includes evening & occasional Saturday hours.

Duties include, but not limited to;

  • greeting patrons, checking in & checking out of materials using the library circulation system, looking up materials for patrons
  • working with the director & summer reading coordinator on library programming
  • processing new materials, preparing library displays, shelving materials
  • posting to social media & creating library flyers

Next week! Hold on to your hats, we have some exciting events coming up!

No, this isn’t Groundhog day, but Preschool Storytime has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, the 25th, & Thursday, the 26th! Same time, same place on a different date!

Next, we have Movie Day! Next Friday, January 27th at 1pm. Can you guess the movie from the picture? Here’s a another hint: Once upon a time there was a mouse with Dumbo sized ears who has a dream to become a certain role that you can also find on a chess board.

Library Survey

The Stromsburg Public Library is seeking input from all members within our service area for what you envision for the completion of the library basement. Currently, the basement is approximately 2,900 SF of unfinished and unused space and has limitless possibilities. The project would be completed with donations, grants, and fundraising to complete the space for public use.  Survey will close September 23, 2022.
