Virtual Early Out Building Day

Hey, Kids! Even though we aren’t getting together to build on Wednesday I thought we could still have some fun. Can you build a pumpkin? Or even a Jack o’ Lantern?

How about a ghost? Be creative and build us something, have your parents snap a picture and post it in the Facebook event for everyone to see. All participants can stop in and receive something from the prize box.

Let’s still have some fun and be creative!

Riders of the Hoot – Owl Trail

Through poetry, music and narratives sisters, Marci Broyhill and Teresa Kay Orr, will present a program on the Riders of the Hoot-Owl Trail : Nebraska’s Outlaws. This is sure to be an entertaining and informational program about some little known Nebraska history. Join us October 6, @ 6:30 pm. We will be meeting in the big room so we can set up enough chairs to allow distance between attendees.

Summer Reading Wednesdays in July

Your children are invited to the Stromsburg Public Library’s Summer Reading program. Our program will be celebrating classic stories and nursery rhymes as well as fun new stories as we follow the theme, “Imagine Your Story.”  We have many fun programs in store for children entering Kindergarten – 5th grade the 2020-2021 school year.  The programs are free and open to all abilities.

We will be meeting on Wednesday mornings in July starting July 1 with Kindergarten through 2nd grade from 9 am – 10 am and 3rd grade   – 5th grade from 10:30 – 11:30. There are no special events planned at this time due to the changing nature of COVID-19 restrictions. We just weren’t sure what summer reading would like look this year!

Registrations can be completed online under the Summer Reading tab or in person at the library.

See you this summer!

Monica, Emily, and Miss Osten
