Whether its planning the family vacation and signing the kids up for baseball, to scheduling swimming lessons and doctor appointments…everyone wants to make the most of this special time of year. Don’t forget to that while its great to keep your children physically active, its also important to keep their minds active as well!
Summer reading programs are a fun way to include reading and related activities in summer family time. They help children maintain and improve reading skills during their break from school. Reading also helps improve children’s writing. The Loup City Library’s Summer Reading Program kicks off June 4th and will go through August 6th. This summer’s theme is ‘Dig into Reading’ and is open to young people, preschool through graduating seniors, with programs, prize drawings, story hours, chances to earn up to $10.00 in chamber bucks, gift certificates to Pizza Hut, Subway, and more! Registration begins at the end of the school year!
