Well! It wasn’t JUST a Story Time – it was the largest we’ve had since I got here! Eleven “I’m-so-ready-to-get-out-of-school” youngsters were here to listen, play, create and eat. Our story was What Lives in a Shell? by Kathleen Weidner Zoehfeld; a great story about animal homes of all kinds. We did a bit of ad-lib this time; we talked specifically of jellyfish – why? Because I happen to think they are beautiful creatures and wanted to share that thought! We learned about different kinds of jellyfish, how they move, what they eat and some really neat facts about them as well. And our craft….well really, we had to make jellyfish! I think everyone had a great time with it and got pictures of real jellyfish to boot! Marlene made wonderful cookies to go with the milk and all in all I think it was a great time. Hope everyone remembers to come next month – who knows what the crazy library lady will come up with next???? See you soon, at your Snyder Library!
