LearningExpress available for FREE through June 30

EBSCO LearningExpress is giving FREE access to their complete line of learning products, for public, college, and school libraries through June 30, 2020.

LearningExpress products offer powerful resources including practice tests, tutorials, e-books, articles, and flashcards to help students of all ages:

  • Improve core skills in English language arts, math and science, social studies and computers
  • Prepare for AP®, SAT®, ACT®, and other college entrance exams
  • Prepare for military entrance tests (ASVAB, CFAT)
  • Explore colleges and careers

TumbleBooks available until August 30

Our database provider is collaborating with TumbleBooks to provide everyone with FREE use of all of TumbleBooks’ resources through August 30!
This resource provides full-text books and audiobooks for kids, teens, and adults along with educational worksheets and lessons.
Go to our catalog (https://jensen.biblionix.com/catalog) and scroll down under the “Resources” box (right hand side) to find these collections.

Library Closure

Jensen Memorial Library will be CLOSED to the public UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

During this time we will be offering a curbside pickup service. Call or email the library the information about the item(s) you may wish to check out, or place a hold through our online catalog https://jensen.biblionix.com/catalog/). Staff will process the check out and contact you to schedule a pick up time. All items currently checked out will have Due Dates extended until the closure period is over. No fines will be accrued while the library is closed.Staff will be in the building Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist via phone and email.

Books, Movies and more for your snow day!

Stay warm and cozy inside this winter with the help of a book, audiobook, movie, or magazines borrowed from the library!
We also have a variety of puzzles (100-1000 pieces) you can borrow and keep for as long as you need!

Open at 9 a.m. each day and close at  7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays,  5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, and 1 p.m. on Saturday!

JML has 6 library staff to assist you with your library needs. 👩👩‍🦳🧓👩‍🦱👱‍♂️👩‍🦰
We have a combined total of more than 40 years experience working in libraries including public, academic, and medical.
We include two retirees, a long-time librarian, a college student, a former book store manager, a substitute teacher, a former HR specialist, a former school paraprofessional, a former college athlete, 3 cat owners, a technology wiz, a mom of 5, and a grandma — obviously some fall into more than one category 😉🤪.
We l💜ve our current patrons and are always excited to meet new library users.🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

Electronic Material usage by Jensen Memorial Library cardholders increased by 20% in 2018?!
Electronic books (Ebooks) and electronic audiobooks can be checked out through the Nebraska Overdrive collection. Items can be accessed on any electronic web-enabled device (smartphones, tablets, computers, ereaders, and more) via the Overdrive, Libby, or Kindle apps or directly through the Overdrive website.
Items can be checked out for 7 to 21 days and will automatically expire after the given checkout period.
All Overdrive items available to JML cardholders are listed on the library’s online catalog. (https://jensen.biblionix.com/catalog/)
