Balloon Animal Adventures

Over 40 children and 20 adults attended the Balloon Animal Adventures program sponsored by the Elgin Public Library. This program combined animal education with the fun and silliness of balloons. Brought to life by Peter and Penelope, this program required over 4 hours of work and more than 150 balloons to make the 9 animals they shared with the audience. Believing they were real, Peter and Penelope kept the kids engaged and entertained. The children went home with an adopted balloon animal while the animals from the program adopted the library. They are waiting for you to stop in at the library and say hi!

Game On!!

We finished our Summer Reading Activity Time with a little competition. They spent time playing a variety of yard games.

Thank you to all that attended our Activity Time. A special thank you to Travis Rudloff, intern at the Antelope County Extension Office, for coordinating all the activities.

Llama Llama Mess Mess Mess

Time to pick up all your toys!
Why is Mama making noise?
This is a truly funny take on a childhood chore that all children will relate to and laugh at! And it is sure to be helpful to get kids cleaning up!

This was our last story time for the summer. We would like to thank all those who attended.

Below are pictures of the children excited about breaking the pinata.
