Lego League

Have a holly jolly Christmas and in case you didn’t hear, the library had Lego League on Monday, December 18. There were 22 kids that came to build with legos. As a new activity some of the kids enjoyed playing Lego Twister after they were finished building. Our next Lego League will be January 15 at 4:00.

December at the Library

Have you checked out the “Moose on the Loose” at the library? He has been very busy reading books, riding on trains and swinging. If you would like to see what the moose is doing this week stop in and see us. There are also several other fun things happening at the library in the month of December. On Sunday, December 17 we will be having a Christmas movie for elementary children. We will be showing “Arthur Christmas” beginning at 2:00 P.M. On Monday, December 18, a Christmas Lego League will be held at the library. Please join us for these holiday events.
During Santa’s visit to Elgin on December 6 the library concluded their raffle for the wooden lantern. Our lucky winner was Clarissa Stuhr. We would like to thank everyone who supported our raffle as well as a big thank you to Chuck Eggers for building and donating it.
Book Club will meet on December 27, 2017. This month the ladies will be reading The Girls From Ames, by Jeffrey Zaslow. The books have arrived and are waiting to be picked up.
On December 11, we visited the kindergartners and first graders at Saint Boniface. We read the story, Mooseltoe and then made and decorated moosetaches. Check out the very creative “moosetaches” below.
