Story Time at the Kindergarten
On Thursday, October 12 and Tuesday, October 24, we visited the Kindergarten at Elgin Public and St. Boniface. The stories The Magic of Kindness by Heddy Clark and Pop-Up Haunted House by Sam Taplin were read. The Magic of Kindness takes them on an adventure with the cat witches as they learn about the magic of kindness. The Pop-Up Haunted House has spooky surprises on every page. Following the stories, the class made haunted houses.

Preschool Story Time
On Wednesday, Sept. 19 and Thursday Sept. 20, we visited the Preschool classrooms at St. Boniface and Elgin Public Schools. We read the story “The Golden Acorn” by Katy Hudson. It was about a squirrel who loves to win. For the past eight years, she has always won the Golden Acorn Hunt – on her own. But this year she has to be a team player. Will she be able to do it? The book centers around teamwork and the importance of friendship. After reading the story, they all made their own golden acorn.
Activity Time
Activity Time for the older children concluded on Thursday, June 29. We had approximately 28 children participate. The hour included a friendship salad, games and snacks. We enjoyed having Erica Brown from the Antelope County Extension office leading the activity times.
Story Time
Story time wrapped up on June 28. We have had approximately 40 children attend story time throughout the month of June. On Wednesday, June 28, we ended with the book Holey Moley by Bethan Clarke and played some games. We all enjoyed the s’mores relay, feed the bear, duck, duck goose and roasting marshmallows. Thanks to all the moms for helping with the games.
We also would like to thank Tenley, Aubrey, McKenna, Chloe and Molly for helping with the crafts. A huge thank you to the moms who provided snacks for story time. It was greatly appreciated.
