There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat was the book read to 14 Daycare children on October 27. They listened to the story, picked pumpkins and decorated the pumpkins with the help of the Daycare providers. It was fun to involve these children in an activity at the library. On Monday, October 31, the lower elementary students from St. Boniface also visited the library. During their visit they learned where the children’s books are located as well as how to check out and check in a library book. In addition, they listened to The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. We enjoyed visits from both groups and hope to continue involving children throughout the school year.
